Wild Edible WalkSaturday, September 27, 2008. 10 am - 11:30 am.
Price: $10, cash or check
Join Melissa Sokulski, Herbalist and Acupuncturist at The Birch Center for Health, LLC, for a wild edible walk.
We'll learn which wild plants (weeds) are edible, and discuss how to use them. Wild plants often have more nutritional value than even organically grown food.
You'll sample sumac lemonade, receive recipes and handouts to help you identify and use wild edibles on your own.
We'll meet at the South Side River Trail: Follow 18th street to river. Continue over railroad tracks and park under bridge. We'll be at the beginning of the walking trail, by the yellow fence.
Please visit our blog for all the latest goings-on at the Birch Center of Health...and beyond!
