Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a complete system of medicine that looks for the cause of symptoms or disease and treats the patient as a whole. It is an excellent adjunct to modern medicine and, often, can treat conditions which modern medicine finds difficult or ambiguous.

TCM includes Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine, moxabustion, auricular acupuncture, tuina Medical Massage, and nutritional advice along with some other therapies.

Acu-Massage

This unique treatment was developed by the Birch Center's own certified massage therapist and licensed acupuncturist Melissa Sokulski. Energy is balanced with acupuncture, which is combined with an hour therapeutic massage.
$115 for this special 90 minute session

Acu-Foot Reflexology

By client request, licensed acupuncturist and certified massage therapist Melissa Sokulski offers this heavenly treatment combining a 10 minute aromatherapy foot bath and one hour of foot reflexolgy with an acupuncture treatment to balance your energy.
$115 per session

Herbal Medicine

At the Birch Center we offer Traditional Chinese Herbal Consultations, as well as Western Botanical herbal consultations, which can be included with the acupuncture treatment at no extra cost, or as a separate consult itself.

At the Birch Center we have offer Chinese patent herbs, and our own handblended organic herbal tea blends as well as green tea blends. We also offer handmade herbal massage oils. Here is a complete list of our own line of teas and oils.

Wild Edible and Medicinal Plant Walks

Please contact the Birch Center if you would like to schedule a wild edible walk. Herbalist Melissa Sokulski, L. Ac. is happy to take you and your friends out for walk around your neighborhood, pointing out which plants (weeds!) are edible and medicinal. Alternatively, we can meet in the Birch Center and walk along the south side.

Depending on the time of year, we will likely see purslane, lambs quarters, dandelion, and plantain sprouting up in the cracks of the sidewalk! By the time we reach the river, we'll see medicinal plants such as mullein, asters, mugwort, burdock, St. John's Wort, evening primrose, and many more.
