Acupuncture
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a complete system of medicine that looks for the cause of symptoms or disease and treats the patient as a whole.
TCM includes Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine, moxabustion, auricular acupuncture, tuina Medical Massage, and nutritional advice along with some other therapies.
Here is a partial list of conditions, put out by the World Health Organization, that acupuncture has been proven effective in treating.

Herbal Medicine
At the Birch Center we offer Traditional Chinese Herbal Consultations, as well as Western Botanical herbal consultations, which can be included with the acupuncture treatment at no extra cost, or as a separate consult itself.
We carry Chinese patent herbs, some powdered herbs and teas are available as well.

Wild Edible and Medicinal Plant Walks
Please contact the Birch Center if you would like to schedule a wild edible walk. Herbalist Melissa Sokulski, L. Ac. is happy to take you and your friends out for walk around your neighborhood, pointing out which plants (weeds!) are edible and medicinal. Alternatively, we can meet in the Birch Center and walk along the south side.
Depending on the time of year, we will likely see purslane, lambs quarters, dandelion, and plantain sprouting up in the cracks of the sidewalk! By the time we reach the river, we'll see medicinal plants such as mullein, asters, mugwort, burdock, St. John's Wort, evening primrose, and many more.
$150 for 1 1/2 hour walk and talk, plus travel fee, ($50 per additional half hour)
